Andrew Kohl
Senior Investment Director
Andrew Kohl is a Senior Investment Director at abrdn and is responsible for supporting The North American Income Trust strategy. Andrew joined the company in November 2023 from Triton International where he was Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Investor Relations. Previously, Andrew worked for Alpine Woods Capital Investors as a portfolio manager and equity research analyst. Andrew graduated with a BA in economics from Williams College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Andrew is a CFA charterholder.
Josh Duitz
Head of Global Income
Josh is Head of Global Income at abrdn. He is a Portfolio Manager of our global dynamic dividend and global infrastructure funds, alongside The North American Income Trust. Josh joined the company in 2018 from Alpine Woods Capital Management where he was a Portfolio Manager. Previously, Josh worked for Bear Stearns where he was a Managing Director, Principal and traded international equities. Prior to that, Josh worked for Arthur Andersen where he was a senior auditor. Josh graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA with Honours. He received his BBA from Emory University.
Charles Park
Chair
Charles Park was appointed a Director on 13 June 2017, Senior Independent Director on 1 January 2022, and Chair of the Board on 21 June 2024. Charles has over 25 years of investment management experience. He was a co-founder of Findlay Park Investment Management, a US boutique asset management house established in 1997, and deputy chief officer with joint responsibility for managing Findlay Park American Fund until his retirement from the firm in 2016. Prior to co-founding Findlay Park, Charles was an investment manager at Hill Samuel Asset Management and an analyst at Framlington Investment Management. He is a non-executive director of Polar Capital Technology Trust plc.
Patrick Edwardson
Senior Independent Non-Executive Director
Patrick Edwardson, appointed a Director on 1 July 2022 and Senior Independent Director on 21 June 2024, has over 30 years of investment management experience. He joined Baillie Gifford in 1993 and became a partner in 2005. In a wide-ranging investment career, he managed bond, equity and multi-asset portfolios, was manager of the Scottish American Investment Company plc between 2004 and 2014 and led Baillie Gifford's multi-asset team until his retirement in 2020. He is currently a non-executive director on the board of Edinburgh Investment Trust plc. He is a non-executive director of Tillit Limited and also managing director of Atheian Ltd, a family investment office.
Karyn Lamont
Chair of the Audit Committee and Independent Non-Executive Director
Karyn Lamont, appointed a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee on 18 September 2018, is a chartered accountant and former audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers until December 2016. She has over 25 years' experience and provided audit and other services to a range of clients, including a number of investment trusts, across the UK's financial services sector, including outsourcing providers. She is the audit committee chairman of Scottish Building Society, iomart Group plc and Scottish American Investment Company plc.
Susannah Nicklin
Independent Non-Executive Director
Susannah Nicklin, appointed on 18 September 2018, is a financial services professional with over 25 years of experience in executive roles at Goldman Sachs and Alliance Bernstein in the US, Australia and the UK. She has also worked in the private equity sector as former Senior Independent Director at Pantheon International plc and with Bridges Ventures, the Global Impact Investing Network and Impact Ventures UK. She is an independent chair of Schroders BSC Social Impact Trust plc, senior independent director of Baronsmead Venture Trust plc and a non-executive chair of Ecofin Global Utilities, Infrastructure Trust plc and Frog Capital LLC. She is a CFA® charterholder.
